Ebony Russell — 'Young, Wild and Free' Midnight Bronze Sculpture
A sculptural work by Ebony Russell, made using her experimental and playful technique of piping porcelain through a piping bag, usually reserved for cake decorating.
Ebony Russell is a visual artist that lives in Sydney, she is primarily a sculptor working in the ceramic medium. She studied a Bachelor of Applied Arts (Ceramics) at Monash University, graduating with Honours in 2003. Ebony received the award for Outstanding Applied Arts Student at Monash University 2003. In 2006 Ebony received a Graduate Diploma in Education of Visual Arts from the University of Melbourne. Since graduating as a specialist art teacher she has worked in several colleges as Head of Department in Victoria and Queensland while continuing to exhibit and maintain her art practice. Working with large-scale stoneware, slip casting, porcelain as well as resin and printmaking.
