Clae Studio — Valley Vessel
A sculptural vessel made from mixed recycled clay and part of the group exhibition 'Shaped', 2022. The form is inspired by serene valley landscapes and the practice of pausing for reflection. The object features a double opening creating a bold silhouette and allowing the materials textural qualities to be showcased.
Clae Studio is the project of artist Britt Neech, based on the Mornington Peninsula. Her sculptural and playful pieces reference art, history and nature. Using minimalistic forms, she creates each piece by hand with careful consideration to the textures and colours of the clay showcasing the intrinsic beauty of the material.
Neech participated in the group exhibitions 'Shaped' and 'Clay Connected' at Craft Victoria, as well as her solo exhibition 'Finding Form' at the Michael Reid Clay Gallery, NSW.
