Clae Studio — Valley Vessel (blue)

A sculptural blue vessel featuring a double opening resulting in a bold silhouette. The form is influenced by serene valley landscapes and the practice of pausing for reflection. The blue hue is inspired by French Artist Yves Klein and acts as a bold reminder to reflect upon the wisdom of nature. This vessel was part of the group exhibition 'Shaped', 2022.

Clae Studio is the project of artist Britt Neech, based on the Mornington Peninsula. Her sculptural and playful pieces reference art, history and nature. Using minimalistic forms, she creates each piece by hand with careful consideration to the textures and colours of the clay showcasing the intrinsic beauty of the material.

Neech participated in the group exhibitions 'Shaped' and 'Clay Connected' at Craft Victoria, as well as her solo exhibition 'Finding Form' at the Michael Reid Clay Gallery, NSW.
