Ellis graduated from RMIT Gold and Silversmithing in 2002. In 2005 Ellis received an Arts Victoria Mentorship grant through Craft Victoria. This led to her first solo show Welcome to Gemrock, which featured wearable pieces, with precious stones set into porcelain.
Nina’s main body of work focuses on imprinting images into precious metals.
